Dress Code
Uniforms
Uniforms are required for all Dance and Musical Theatre students and are based on age and level. Step-N-Up Hawaii, located conveniently at PDD, carries every item below.
Adult Class Students — uniforms are not required, but dance attire and hair should be genre appropriate, such as a leotard and tights for ballet, or a leotard and form-fitted clothing for jazz.
To protect our dance floors and to keep dance shoes clean, dance shoes should only be worn in class. Please have your child bring an extra pair of footwear to use to and from the studio.
Creative Movement (3-4)

- Hair in a clean performance bun (low bun with a middle part).

How To Do A Classical Ballet Bun
- Pre and Beginning — Leather ballet slippers.
- Levels, Prep, and Company — Canvas ballet slippers.
- Matching pull-on skirts are optional. For Open Ballet, students can wear their uniform or any color leotard.
- Company & Prep — Refer to your contracts for specific shoes or other uniform requirements.

- PDD theatre uniform top with fitted bottoms and jazz shoes.
Acro
- Fitted leotard or fitted top and bottoms. Bare feet.
