Our dance teams have gained a reputation for showcasing exceptional dance skills and providing a platform for local dancers to grow and improve their talent.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated dancers who are committed to excellence and teamwork.
Company
A competitive dance team that is taught advanced level choreography and receives intensive training in preparation for regional and national dance competitions. PDD Company members are also given opportunities to perform at public events and venues. Company positions are given by audition only.
Prep
A competitive dance team that is taught intermediate level choreography and receives intensive training in preparation for regional dance competitions. Prep positions are given by audition only.
Audition FAQs
- Who needs to audition?
- Dancers who are new to PDD and want to join our competitive teams. Dancers that want to add more genres or solo/duo/trio to their comp season. Dancers that want to be considered for promotion from track/level to prep, or prep to company.
- When are callbacks?
- If selected, dancers will be asked to attend a specific class during callback week. Days and times will be determined and communicated on the day of auditions if selected.
- Do I need to learn choreography?
- After signing up, dancers will be sent a choreography video to learn on their own before arriving at the audition. They will receive one video for each genre of dance they want to audition for (ie Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, etc).
- What should I wear to the audition?
- Please wear dance attire specific to your genre with the appropriate shoes. Hair should be pulled back into a clean bun for Ballet. For all other genres, make sure your hair is pulled out of your face. Makeup is optional. No jewelry.
- How much is it to join / schedule / requirements?
- An informational packet will be distributed shortly after audition sign ups. We will do our best to include all possible fees and dates that we can project so that you can make the best decision for your family before committing.
